Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail oriented and dedicated Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications through meticulous testing and analysis. This role involves identifying bugs, documenting issues, and working closely with developers to ensure a high quality user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing, API testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Analyse test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of programming languages and databases is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of API testing.
